He told the customer the paint would not look brand new. The customer left five stars anyway.

Most people booking a detail have a picture in their head. The car leaves looking like it did in the showroom. Every scratch gone, every swirl mark erased, the paint reset to zero.
A customer called ian xiao went into a job with Jnz Detailing holding that picture. What he got first was a warning.
“As Jeremy had shared it wont be 100% like new,” his review begins, “but I am very happy that it meets 80%+ of what i want especially swirl mark are gone and scratches are greatly reduce.”
Read that again, because the order matters. The detailer said it upfront. The customer still gave five stars.
Why nobody can promise you 100%
Here is the thing the glossy before-and-afters never explain.
The shine on your car does not come from the colour. It comes from a thin layer of clear coat sitting on top of it, and that layer is finite. Swirl marks and light scratches are grooves cut into it. The only way to remove a groove is to level the clear coat down to the bottom of it, which means removing some of the clear coat you have left.
So a detailer is always solving the same equation: how much damage can come out before too much clear coat goes with it. Shallow swirls, the ones that make paint look cloudy under a streetlight, sit near the surface and come out cleanly. A deep scratch, the kind your fingernail catches in, runs closer to the paint underneath, and chasing it all the way out costs more clear coat than the car can spare.
That is why an honest answer is a percentage rather than a promise. And it is why a specific number from someone who has inspected your panels is worth more than a blanket promise of like new from someone who has not looked yet.
The ceramic coating that goes on afterwards is a separate layer on top, adding gloss and making the surface easier to clean. It does not undo scratches. Which is exactly why the correction has to happen first, before anything gets sealed over.

The part that changes your drive home
Paint is what other people see. Glass is what you see.
Windscreen scratches and wiper marks sit directly in your eyeline, and at night every oncoming headlight scatters across them. Jnz lists windscreen scratch removal, wiper scratch removal, glass polish and chemical stain removal as their own services, not as a wipe-down at the end of a paint job.
ian xiao noticed the difference where it counts: “Driving in the night under the street light the visibility has greatly improved.”
Kelvin Y’s review is shorter and about the same thing. “Very prompt response. Swift confirmation for next day appointment. Windscreen and windows looking all clear and pristine now. Looking forward to rain and see the effect.”

And you do not go anywhere
The other thing worth knowing is that none of this involves you giving up a day.
Jnz Detailing runs as an islandwide mobile service, which is their own description of themselves. The detailer comes to the car. Nancy Ng’s review is the clearest picture of what that looks like in practice: “From responding promptly to my text in the morning to coming over to my house and completing the ceramic coating within just three hours, his efficiency and professionalism were truly impressive. The finishing was done perfectly.”
A full ceramic coating, at her house, in three hours.

The published hours help too. Every day runs from 8am until midnight, and on Saturdays until 1am. That is how one reviewer ended up having a car coated at what they called “super late”, by someone they described as “super nice and super cheerful”.

What to do with this
If you already know what you want done, the booking is a message. Reviewers describe prompt replies and next-day slots confirmed quickly.
If you are not sure whether your paint needs correcting or just a polish, that is the more useful message to send. A photo of the panel in daylight tells a detailer more than a paragraph does, and it is the difference between paying for work your car needs and paying for work it does not.
Send a photo of the paint on WhatsApp: 8785 8185, from 8am, any day.
There is no promotion attached to any of this and no reason to rush. But if you have been looking at the same set of swirl marks every time you walk to your car, a photo costs nothing to send.
